Being invited to speak at the PM Summit in London was an honor. The panel brought together product leaders from diverse industries, and the conversation around product-engineering dynamics was both honest and constructive.
My contribution focused on three practices that transformed collaboration in my teams: shared discovery sessions, engineering-led spike reviews, and what I call “context budgets” — dedicated time for engineers to understand the why behind features.
The audience questions were sharp and pushed us to address the harder aspects of cross-functional work, like navigating technical debt negotiations and maintaining velocity during organizational change. It was one of those rare panels where every speaker brought something genuinely different to the table.
